POSITION SUMMARY:
The office of Communication is a part of the larger Marketing department which is responsible for enhancing the success of the University by providing a central marketing and communication service. The Communication office is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies to publicize LCC to various audiences. The director is responsible for corporate communication and publications, media liaison, brand management, advertising, corporate events, and web development. All strategizing is done to coordinate marketing and communication-related activities in support of the goals listed in the University’s Strategic Plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXTERNAL
Develop, strengthen and maintain the institutional brand
Create the communication strategy - its planning, implementation, and monitoring
Ensure consistent communication of institutional key messages across all mediums and to all target markets
Develop and execute advertising campaigns
Ensure media coverage of LCC events
INTERNAL
Lead and manage the webmaster and the visual communication coordinator as well as student assistants/practicum students
Establish and keep up-to-date the institutional style manual
Oversee the development of institutional promotional pieces following institutional key messages and marketing priorities

EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience with marketing communication and/or journalism preferred
3+ years experience in a managerial position
5+ years of experience in the field of communication/marketing

Strong writing skills
Creativity, working in teams
Professionalism
Ability to communicate effectively in English, Lithuanian and Russian
Strong motivation and initiative
Graphic design experience
